Kakorlantas Menyampaikan Belasungkawa atas Gugurnya 3 Polisi di Lampung

Keluarga besar Korps Lalu Lintas (Korlantas) Polri, led by the Chief of Traffic Corps, Irjen Agus Suryonugroho, conducted a special funeral prayer (salat gaib) and lowered the national flag to half-mast to honor three police officers who were shot dead by a member of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) in Way Kanan, Lampung. The funeral prayer took place at the At-Taqwa Mosque.

Tribute and Condolences

In a statement on Tuesday (March 18, 2025), Irjen Agus Suryonugroho expressed profound grief on behalf of Korlantas Polri for the fallen heroes who lost their lives in the line of duty in the Lampung Regional Police. The officers were killed during a raid on a cockfighting gambling den in Karang Manik Village, Negara Batin District, Way Kanan Regency. The Chief emphasized that this ceremony was a token of deep respect and sympathy.

The Fallen Officers

The three officers who tragically lost their lives were:

• Iptu Lusiyanto, the Head of Negara Batin Police Sector (Polsek) in the Way Kanan Police Resort.

• Bripka Petrus Apriyanto, a non-commissioned officer from Negara Batin Polsek, Way Kanan Police Resort.

• Bripda M Ghalib Surya Ganta, a detective from Way Kanan Police Resort.

Circumstances of the Incident

The shooting incident, which led to the untimely death of the police officers, occurred on Monday, March 17th, 2025, at 4:50 PM local time. The officers were allegedly shot in the head by the owner of the cockfighting venue, who is suspected to be a member of the Indonesian Army (TNI AD). The bodies of the officers were undergoing autopsy as investigations continued.

Honoring Sacrifice

The gesture of lowering the national flag and offering prayers was a symbol of appreciation for the dedication and sacrifice made by the officers in maintaining public security and order. The Polri extended their condolences to the bereaved families, hoping they would find strength and resilience in this difficult time.
